  1. About Sumitext:

Sumitext is proprietary platform provided by Sumi Communications, LLC that provides a seamless integration of communication using SMS and MMS messaging. This technology allows users to interact (2 ways) through text messaging. The Sumi system allows our clients to deliver text messages, static pictures as well as short videos and audio at its user’s request. Such a platform provides endless opportunities for integration with existing media platforms like websites and/or any form of advertisement media (print, tv, outdoor, internet, etc). Unlike other media, the interaction can be tracked completely back to the users cell phone. This platform is the missing extension of a website that allows users to navigate and interact in the environment of their choice while, at the same time, allowing the advertiser/client to capture all of that users behavioral data.

This is an excellent lecture. Social media has begun to envelop every facet of the business world and has opened up exciting new opportunities for event marketers. Relating a personal experience, the company I work for has made extensive use of social media like Facebook and Twitter to not only spread the word about our company but also to include our customers in our service. The company, called Ticketbud (http://ticketbud.com) is a ticketing online service that specializes in selling tickets for an event at a cheap, flat fee. We use social media to let our customers interact and converse and in doing so, they become less skeptical and more trusting of our business and service. Additionally, social media allows us and our customers to get the word out about their event and do it in a way that is casual and comfortable for them. Most relevant to this article, social media has allowed our company to establish a global reach, selling tickets at events everywhere from Ireland to Moscow. This global reach has made us a more reputable and stronger company.
